[42:10]  1 tc Heb “with a shattering in my bones my enemies taunt me.” A few medieval Hebrew mss and Symmachus’ Greek version read “like” instead of “with.”

[42:10]  2 sn “Where is your God?” The enemies ask this same question in v. 3.

[56:9]  3 tn Heb “then my enemies will turn back in the day I cry out.” The Hebrew particle אָז (’az, “then”) is probably used here to draw attention to the following statement.

[56:9]  4 tn Heb “this I know, that God is for me.”

[61:6]  5 tn Heb “days upon days of the king add, his years like generation and generation.”
