  1. Harap akan Tuhan, hai jiwaku! Dia perlindungan dalam susahmu. Jangan resah, tabah berserah, kar'na habis malam pagi merekah. Dalam derita dan kemelut Tuhan yang setia, Penolongmu!
  2. Harap akan Tuhan, hai jiwaku! Dia perlindungan dalam susahmu. Walau sendu, hatimu remuk, Tuhan mengatasi tiap kemelut. Ya Tuhan, tolong 'ku yang lemah: setiaMu kokoh selamanya!
  3. Harap akan Tuhan, hai jiwaku! Dia perlindungan dalam susahmu. Jalan sedih nanti berhenti; Yesus memberikan hidup abadi. Habis derita di dunia, purna sukacita. Haleluya!

  In time of tribulation, hear, Lord, my feeble cries; With humble supplication to Thee my spirit flies; My heart with grief is breaking, scarce can my voice complain; Mine eyes with tears kept waking, still watch and weep in vain. The days of old, in vision, bring banished bliss to view; The years of lost fruition, their joys in pangs renew; Remembered songs of gladness, through nights lone silence brought, Strike notes of deeper sadness, and stir desponding thought. Hath God cast off forever? Can time His truth impair? His tender mercy never shall I presume to share? Hath He His loving kindness shut up in endless wrath? No; this is mine own blindness, that cannot see His path. I call to recollection the years of His right hand; And, strong in His protection, again through faith I stand; Thy deeds, O Lord, are wondrous; holy are all Thy ways; The secret place of thunder shall utter forth Thy praise. Thee, with the tribes assembled, O God, the billows saw; They saw Thee, and they trembled, turned, and stood still with awe; The clouds shot hail and lightning; the earth reeled to and fro; Thy fiery pillar brightened the gulf of gloom below. Thy way is in great waters, Thy footsteps are not known; Let Adam’s sons and daughters confide in Thee alone: Through the wild sea Thou leadest Thy chosen flock of yore; Still on the waves Thou treadest, and Thy redeemed pass o’er.

  Lord, the God of my salvation, day and night I cry to Thee; Let my prayer now find acceptance, in Thy mercy answer me. Full of troubles and affliction, nigh to death my soul is brought, Helpless, like one cast forever from Thy care and from Thy thought. Thou hast brought me down to darkness, ’neath Thy wrath I am oppressed; All the billows of affliction overwhelm my soul distressed. Thou hast made my friends despise me, and companionless I go, Bound, and helpless in my bondage, pining in my bitter woe. Unto Thee, with hands uplifted, daily I direct my cry; Hear, O Lord, my supplication, hear and save me ere I die. Wilt Thou wait to show Thy wonders and Thy mercy to the dead? Let me live to tell Thy praises, by Thy lovingkindness led. Still, O Lord, renewed each morning unto Thee my prayer shall be; Cast me not away forever, let me now Thy favor see. All my life is spent in sorrow, grief and terror always nigh, Waves of wrath have surged about me; show Thy mercy ere I die. Friend and lover are departed, dark and lonely is my way; Lord, be Thou my Friend and Helper, still to Thee, O Lord, I pray. Lord, the God of my salvation, day and night I cry to Thee; Let my prayer now find acceptance; in Thy mercy answer me.

  Night’s shadows falling men to rest are calling; Rest we, possessing heav’nly peace and blessing: This we implore Thee, falling down before Thee, Great King of Glory! O Savior, hear us! Son of God, be near us! Thine angels send us; let Thy love attend us: He nothing feareth, whom Thy presence cheereth, Light his path cleareth. Be near, relieving all who now are grieving; Thy visitation be our consolation: O hear the sighing of the faint and dying; Lord, hear our crying! Thou ever livest; endless life Thou givest; Thou watch art keeping o’er Thy faithful sleeping; In Thy clear shining they are now reclining, All care resigning. O Lord of Glory, praise we and adore Thee— Thee for us given, our true Rest from Heaven! Rest, peace, and blessing, we are now possessing, Thy Name confessing.
