• [Psa 55:17] On God Alone My Soul Relies

  On God alone my soul relies, And He will soon relieve; The Lord will hear my plaintive cries At morning, noon, and eve. He has redeemed my soul in peace, From conflict set me free; My many foes are made to cease, And strive no more with me. The living God in righteousness Will recompense with shame The men, who hardened by success, Forget to fear His Name. All treacherous friends who overreach And break their plighted troth, Who hide their hate with honeyed speech With such the Lord is wroth. Upon the Lord thy burden cast To Him bring all thy care; He will sustain and hold thee fast, And give thee strength to bear. God will not let His saints be moved; Protected, they will shall see Their foes cut off and sin reproved; O God, I trust in Thee.

• [Psa 55:22] Cast Thy Burden On The Lord

  Cast thy burden on the Lord, Only lean upon His Word; Thou wilt soon have cause to bless His eternal faithfulness. He sustains thee by His hand, He enables thee to stand; Those whom Jesus once hath loved From His grace are never moved. Human counsels come to naught; That shall stand which God hath wrought; His compassion, love, and power, Are the same forevermore. Heav’n and earth may pass away, God’s free grace shall not decay; He hath promised to fulfill All the pleasure of His will. Jesus, Guardian of Thy flock, Be Thyself our constant Rock; Make us, by Thy powerful hand, Strong as Zion’s mountain stand.

• [Psa 55:22] I Will Tell It To Jesus My Lord

  When times of temptation bring sadness and gloom, I will tell it to Jesus my Lord; The last of earth’s treasures borne out to the tomb, I will tell it to Jesus my Lord. This earth hath no sorrow For today or tomorrow, But Jesus hath known it and felt long ago, And when it comes o’er me, And I’m tempted so sorely, I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.   If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold, And you have to get along with meager fare, Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird; Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. • [Psa 55:22] Lord, What A Change Within Us

  Lord, what a change within us one short hour Spent in Thy presence will prevail to make; What heavy burdens from our bosoms take, What parchèd fields refresh as with a shower! We kneel, and all around us seems to lower; We rise, and all, the distant and the near, Stands forth in sunny outline, brave and clear; We kneel, how weak; we rise, how full of power. Why should we ever weak or heartless be, Why are we ever overborne with care, Anxious or troubled, when with us is prayer, And joy, and strength, and courage are with Thee?
