Psalms 68:22

68:22 The Lord says,

“I will retrieve them ¹  from Bashan,

I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,

Psalms 69:2

69:2 I sink into the deep mire

where there is no solid ground; ² 

I am in ³  deep water,

and the current overpowers me.

[68:22]  ¹ tn That is, the enemies mentioned in v. 21. Even if they retreat to distant regions, God will retrieve them and make them taste his judgment.

[69:2]  ² tn Heb “and there is no place to stand.”

[69:2]  ³ tn Heb “have entered.”
