[74:7]  1 tn Heb “to the ground they desecrate the dwelling place of your name.”

[89:31]  2 tn Or “desecrate.”

[89:34]  3 tn Or “desecrate.”

[89:34]  4 tn Heb “and what proceeds out of my lips I will not alter.”

[89:39]  4 tn The Hebrew verb appears only here and in Lam 2:7.

[89:39]  5 tn Heb “the covenant of your servant.”

[89:39]  6 tn Heb “you dishonor [or “desecrate”] on the ground his crown.”

[109:22]  5 tc The verb in the Hebrew text (חָלַל, khalal) appears to be a Qal form from the root חלל meaning “pierced; wounded.” However, the Qal of this root is otherwise unattested. The translation assumes an emendation to יָחִיל (yakhil), a Qal imperfect from חוּל (khul, “tremble”) or to חֹלַל (kholal), a polal perfect from חוּל (khul). See Ps 55:4, which reads לִבִּי יָחִיל בְּקִרְבִּי (libbiy yakhil bÿqirbbiy, “my heart trembles [i.e., “beats violently”] within me”).
