78:23 He gave a command to the clouds above,

and opened the doors in the sky.

Psalms 141:3

141:3 O Lord, place a guard on my mouth!

Protect the opening ²  of my lips! ³ 

[107:16]  ¹ sn The language of v. 16 recalls Isa 45:2.

[141:3]  ¹ tn Heb “door.” The Hebrew word occurs only here in the OT.

[141:3]  ² sn My mouth…my lips. The psalmist asks God to protect him from speaking inappropriately or sinfully.
