78:46 He gave their crops to the grasshopper,

the fruit of their labor to the locust.

Psalms 105:34

105:34 He ordered locusts to come, ¹ 

innumerable grasshoppers.

Psalms 109:23

109:23 I am fading away like a shadow at the end of the day; ² 

I am shaken off like a locust.

[105:34]  ¹ tn Heb “he spoke and locusts came.”

[109:23]  ¹ tn Heb “like a shadow when it is extended I go.” He is like a late afternoon shadow made by the descending sun that will soon be swallowed up by complete darkness. See Ps 102:11.
