Psalms 78:71

78:71 He took him away from following the mother sheep, ¹ 

and made him the shepherd of Jacob, his people,

and of Israel, his chosen nation. ² 

Psalms 106:40

106:40 So the Lord was angry with his people ³ 

and despised the people who belong to him. ⁴
