Psalms 91:7

91:7 Though a thousand may fall beside you,

and a multitude on your right side,

it ¹  will not reach you.

Psalms 3:6

3:6 I am not afraid ²  of the multitude of people ³ 

who attack me from all directions. ⁴ 

[91:7]  ¹ tn Apparently the deadly disease mentioned in v. 6b is the understood subject here.

[3:6]  ² tn The imperfect verbal form here expresses the psalmist’s continuing attitude as he faces the crisis at hand.

[3:6]  ³ tn Or perhaps “troops.” The Hebrew noun עָם (’am) sometimes refers to a military contingent or army.

[3:6]  ⁴ tn Heb “who all around take a stand against me.”
