Psalms 92:1

Psalm 92 ¹ 

A psalm; a song for the Sabbath day.

92:1 It is fitting ²  to thank the Lord,

and to sing praises to your name, O sovereign One! ³ 

Psalms 106:47

106:47 Deliver us, O Lord, our God!

Gather us from among the nations!

Then we will give thanks ⁴  to your holy name,

and boast about your praiseworthy deeds. ⁵ 

Psalms 122:4

122:4 The tribes go up ⁶  there, ⁷ 

the tribes of the Lord,

where it is required that Israel

give thanks to the name of the Lord. ⁸ 

[92:1]  ¹ sn Psalm 92. The psalmist praises God because he defeats the wicked and vindicates his loyal followers.

[106:47]  ⁴ tn Heb “to give thanks.” The infinitive construct indicates result after the imperative.
