2:8 “To 1  the angel of the church in Smyrna write the following: 2 

“This is the solemn pronouncement of 3  the one who is the first and the last, the one who was dead, but 4  came to life:

20:12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Then 6  books were opened, and another book was opened – the book of life. 7  So 8  the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds. 9
