[7:11]  1 tn The verb is pluperfect, but the force is simple past. See ExSyn 586.

[7:11]  2 tn Grk “they fell down on their faces.” BDAG 815 s.v. πίπτω 1.b.α.ב. has “fall down, throw oneself to the ground as a sign of devotion or humility, before high-ranking persons or divine beings.”

[12:9]  3 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “so” to indicate the result of the war in heaven.

[15:6]  5 tn Or “wide golden sashes,” but these would not be diagonal, as some modern sashes are, but horizontal. The Greek term can refer to a wide band of cloth or leather worn on the outside of one’s clothing (L&N 6.178).
