7:15 For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve ¹  him day and night in his temple, and the one seated on the throne will shelter them. ² 

Revelation 14:11

14:11 And the smoke from their ³  torture will go up ⁴  forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have ⁵  no rest day or night, along with ⁶  anyone who receives the mark of his name.”

Revelation 16:14

16:14 For they are the spirits of the demons performing signs who go out to the kings of the earth ⁷  to bring them together for the battle that will take place on the great day of God, the All-Powerful. ⁸ 

Revelation 20:10

20:10 And the devil who deceived ⁹  them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, ¹⁰  where the beast and the false prophet are ¹¹  too, and they will be tormented there day and night forever and ever.

[7:15]  ¹ tn Or “worship.” The word here is λατρεύω (latreuw).

[7:15]  ² tn Grk “will spread his tent over them,” normally an idiom for taking up residence with someone, but when combined with the preposition ἐπί (epi, “over”) the idea is one of extending protection or shelter (BDAG 929 s.v. σκηνόω).

[14:11]  ³ tn The Greek pronoun is plural here even though the verbs in the previous verse are singular.

[14:11]  ⁴ tn The present tense ἀναβαίνει (anabainei) has been translated as a futuristic present (ExSyn 535-36). This is also consistent with the future passive βασανισθήσεται (basanisqhsetai) in v. 10.

[14:11]  ⁵ tn The present tense ἔχουσιν (ecousin) has been translated as a futuristic present to keep the English tense consistent with the previous verb (see note on “will go up” earlier in this verse).

In keeping with the previous past tenses some translations supply a past tense verb here (“were”), but in view of the future tense that follows (“they will be tormented”), a present tense verb was used to provide a transition from the previous past tense to the future tense that follows.
