Revelation 9:14

9:14 saying to the sixth angel, the one holding ¹  the trumpet, “Set free ²  the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!”

4:4 In ³  a circle around the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on those thrones were twenty-four elders. They were ⁴  dressed in white clothing and had golden crowns ⁵  on their heads.

[9:14]  ² tn On λῦσον (luson) BDAG 606-7 s.v. λύω 2 states, “set free, loose, untie – a. lit. a pers., animal, or thing that is bound or tied…Angels that are bound Rv 9:14f.”

[4:4]  ³ tn Here καί (kai) has not been translated because of differences between Greek and English style.

[4:4]  ⁴ tn Because of the length and complexity of the Greek sentence, a new sentence was started here in the translation by supplying the words “They were” to indicate the connection to the preceding material.
