[15:30]  1 tn Grk “brothers.” See note on the phrase “brothers and sisters” in 1:13.

[15:31]  2 tn Verses 30-31 form one long sentence in the Greek but have been divided into two distinct sentences for clarity in English.

[1:11]  3 tn The expression “for the display of” is an attempt to convey in English the force of the Greek preposition εἰς (eis) in this context.

[1:19]  4 tn Or “salvation.” Deliverance from prison (i.e., release) is probably what Paul has in view here, although some take this as a reference to his ultimate release from the body, i.e., dying and being with Christ (v. 23).

[5:16]  5 tn Or “the fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful”; Grk “is very powerful in its working.”
