[1:8]  ¹ tn Grk “First.” Paul never mentions a second point, so J. B. Phillips translated “I must begin by telling you….”

[1:16]  ² sn Here the Greek refers to anyone who is not Jewish.

[15:24]  ³ tn Grk “and to be helped by you.” The passive construction was changed to an active one in the translation.
