Romans 9:9

9:9 For this is what the promise declared: ¹  “About a year from now ²  I will return and Sarah will have a son.” ³ 

Romans 15:8

15:8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised ⁴  on behalf of God’s truth to confirm the promises made to the fathers, ⁵ 

Romans 9:8

9:8 This means ⁶  it is not the children of the flesh ⁷  who are the children of God; rather, the children of promise are counted as descendants.

[9:9]  ² tn Grk “About this time I will return.” Since this refers to the time when the promised child would be born, it would be approximately a year later.
