“Get dressed for service ¹  and keep your lamps burning; ² 

A continual fire must be kept burning on the altar. It must not be extinguished.

Smoke streams from its nostrils as from a boiling pot over burning ¹  rushes.

Can a man hold ¹  fire ²  against his chest ³  without ⁴  burning his clothes?

Edom’s ¹  streams will be turned into pitch and her soil into brimstone; her land will become burning pitch.

Fire resides in his tent; ¹  over his residence burning sulfur is scattered.

May the Lord rain down ¹  burning coals ²  and brimstone ³  on the wicked! A whirlwind is what they deserve! ⁴ 

¹ “You are to make an altar for burning incense; ²  you are to make it of ³  acacia wood. ⁴ 

And the priest must take cedar wood, hyssop, ¹  and scarlet wool and throw them into the midst of the fire where the heifer is burning. ²

For you have not come to something that can be touched, ¹  to a burning fire and darkness and gloom and a whirlwind

They will never go hungry or be thirsty again, and the sun will not beat down on them, nor any burning heat, ¹ 

In the middle ¹  of the living beings was something like ²  burning coals of fire ³  or like torches. It moved back and forth among the living beings. It was bright, and lightning was flashing out of the fire.

Rather, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing this you will be heaping burning coals on his head. ¹ 

saying, ‘These last fellows worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us who bore the hardship and burning heat of the day.’
