Your very best valleys were full of chariots; ¹  horsemen confidently took their positions ²  at the gate.

Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help. ¹ 

“Brothers, ¹  I can speak confidently ²  to you about our forefather ³  David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or the things they insist on so confidently. ¹ 

Wait patiently for the Lord! ¹  Wait confidently ²  for him! Do not fret over the apparent success of a sinner, ³  a man who carries out wicked schemes!

Pray ¹  for me also, that I may be given the message when I begin to speak ²  – that I may confidently make known ³  the mystery of the gospel,

When the governor gestured for him to speak, Paul replied, “Because I know ¹  that you have been a judge over this nation for many years, I confidently make my defense. ²

Confidently carry out your duties! ²  May the Lord be with those who do well!”

So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, and ¹  I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” ² 

So my heart rejoices and I am happy; ¹  My life is safe. ² 

For he was looking forward to the city with firm foundations, ¹  whose architect and builder is God.

I hate those who serve worthless idols, ¹  but I trust in the Lord.

In you, O Lord, I have taken shelter! Never let me be humiliated!

O Lord who rules over all, ¹  how blessed are those who trust in you! ² 

Do not plot ¹  evil against your neighbor when ²  he dwells by you unsuspectingly.

And after about an hour still another insisted, ¹  “Certainly this man was with him, because he too is a Galilean.” ² 

Your loyal followers trust in you, ¹  for you, Lord, do not abandon those who seek your help. ² 

To you they cried out, and they were saved; in you they trusted and they were not disappointed. ¹ 

An evil person suffers much pain, ¹  but the Lord’s faithfulness overwhelms the one who trusts in him. ²
