Drive out the scorner ¹  and contention will leave; strife and insults will cease. ² 

I will send ¹  hornets before you that will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite before you.

Little by little ¹  I will drive them out before you, until you become fruitful and inherit the land.

They drive away the orphan’s donkey; they take the widow’s ox as a pledge.

Then ¹  Jesus ²  entered the temple courts ³  and began to drive out those who were selling things there, ⁴ 

and that you may drive out all your enemies just as the Lord said.

then he ¹  will drive out all these nations ahead of you, and you will dispossess nations greater and stronger than you.

I will send an angel ¹  before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. ² 

you must drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images, all their molten images, ¹  and demolish their high places.

The Lord your God will drive them out from before you and remove them, ¹  so you can occupy ²  their land as the Lord your God promised ³  you.

I will not drive them out before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild animals ¹  multiply against you.

As smoke is driven away by the wind, so you drive them away. ¹  As wax melts before fire, so the wicked are destroyed before God.

Look how they are repaying us! They come to drive us out of our allotted land which you assigned to us!

Folly is bound up ¹  in the heart of a child, ²  but the rod of discipline ³  will drive it far from him.

Then the demons begged him, ¹  “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

Then the Lord will scatter you among the peoples and there will be very few of you ¹  among the nations where the Lord will drive you.

Whoever does these things is abhorrent to the Lord and because of these detestable things ¹  the Lord your God is about to drive them out ²  from before you.

“Obey ¹  what I am commanding you this day. I am going to drive out ²  before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

Do not listen to them, ¹  because their prophecies are lies. ²  Listening to them will only cause you ³  to be taken far away from your native land. I will drive you out of your country and you will die in exile. ⁴ 

You will become an occasion of horror, a proverb, and an object of ridicule to all the peoples to whom the Lord will drive you.
