Now ¹  a great windstorm ²  developed and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was nearly swamped.

Now ¹  while Jesus ²  was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, reclining at the table, ³  a woman came with an alabaster jar ⁴  of costly aromatic oil ⁵  from pure nard. After breaking open the jar, she poured it on his head.

Although it grieved the king deeply, ¹  he did not want to reject her request because of his oath and his guests.

Jesus ¹  was going through the grain fields on a Sabbath, and his disciples began to pick some heads of wheat ²  as they made their way.

Thus you nullify ¹  the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like this.”
