Any human being who is permanently dedicated ¹  must not be ransomed; such a person must be put to death.

“‘Surely anything which a man permanently dedicates to the Lord ¹  from all that belongs to him, whether from people, animals, or his landed property, must be neither sold nor redeemed; anything permanently dedicated is most holy to the Lord.

So fire went out from the presence of the Lord ¹  and consumed them so that they died before the Lord.

If a man has sexual intercourse ¹  with any animal, he must be put to death, and you must kill the animal.

As for any person ¹  who does any work on this particular day, I will exterminate ²  that person from the midst of his people! ³ 

I will lay your cities waste ¹  and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will refuse to smell your soothing aromas.

I myself will make the land desolate and your enemies who live in it will be appalled.

You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will consume you.

I will send the wild animals ¹  against you and they will bereave you of your children, ²  annihilate your cattle, and diminish your population ³  so that your roads will become deserted.

I will destroy your high places and cut down your incense altars, ¹  and I will stack your dead bodies on top of the lifeless bodies of your idols. ²  I will abhor you. ³ 

When it reverts ¹  in the jubilee, the field will be holy to the Lord like a permanently dedicated field; ²  it will become the priest’s property. ³
