For whoever is ashamed<n id="1" /> of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person<n id="2" /> when he comes in his glory and in the glory<n id="3" /> of the Father and of the holy angels.

<p class="bodytext">So what benefit<n id="1" /> did you then reap<n id="2" /> from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.

<t /><p class="bodytext">For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is God&#8217;s power for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.<n id="1" />

So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord<n id="1" /> or of me, a prisoner for his sake, but by<n id="2" /> God&#8217;s power accept your share of suffering<n id="3" /> for the gospel.

May the Lord grant mercy to the family of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my imprisonment.<n id="1" />
