and those who suffered from<n id="1" /> unclean<n id="2" /> spirits were cured.

Then<n id="1" /> they departed and went throughout<n id="2" /> the villages, proclaiming the good news<n id="3" /> and healing people everywhere.p>

Now<n id="1" /> a woman was there who had been suffering from a hemorrhage<n id="2" /> for twelve years<n id="3" /> but could not be healed by anyone.

<t /><p class="bodytext">After<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> called<n id="3" /> the twelve<n id="4" /> together, he gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure<n id="5" /> diseases,

Heal<n id="1" /> the sick in that town<n id="2" /> and say to them, &#8216;The kingdom of God<n id="3" /> has come upon<n id="4" /> you!&#8217;

But the news about him spread even more,<n id="1" /> and large crowds were gathering together to hear him<n id="2" /> and to be healed of their illnesses.

The experts in the law<n id="1" /> and the Pharisees<n id="2" /> watched<n id="3" /> Jesus<n id="4" /> closely to see if<n id="5" /> he would heal on the Sabbath,<n id="6" /> so that they could find a reason to accuse him.

At that very time<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> cured many people of diseases, sicknesses,<n id="3" /> and evil spirits, and granted<n id="4" /> sight to many who were blind.

and also some women<n id="1" /> who had been healed of evil spirits and disabilities:<n id="2" /> Mary<n id="3" /> (called Magdalene), from whom seven demons had gone out,

So<n id="1" /> Jesus asked<n id="2" /> the experts in religious law<n id="3" /> and the Pharisees, &#8220;Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath<n id="4" /> or not?&#8221;

But the president of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, &#8220;There are six days on which work<n id="1" /> should be done!<n id="2" /> So come<n id="3" /> and be healed on those days, and not on the Sabbath day.&#8221;

Jesus<n id="1" /> said to them, &#8220;No doubt you will quote to me the proverb, &#8216;Physician, heal yourself!&#8217;<n id="2" /> and say, &#8216;What we have heard that you did in Capernaum,<n id="3" /> do here in your hometown too.&#8217;&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">As the sun was setting, all those who had any relatives<n id="1" /> sick with various diseases brought them to Jesus.<n id="2" /> He placed<n id="3" /> his hands on every one of them and healed them.
