Then<n id="1" /> they<n id="2" /> heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them: &#8220;Come up here!&#8221; So the two prophets<n id="3" /> went up to heaven in a cloud while<n id="4" /> their enemies stared at them.

The<n id="1" /> smoke coming from the incense,<n id="2" /> along with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel&#8217;s hand.

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> a second time the crowd shouted, &#8220;Hallelujah!&#8221; The smoke rises from her forever and ever.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> I saw another beast<n id="2" /> coming up from the earth. He<n id="3" /> had two horns like a lamb,<n id="4" /> but<n id="5" /> was speaking like a dragon.

Then<n id="1" /> I saw another angel ascending from the east,<n id="2" /> who had<n id="3" /> the seal<n id="4" /> of the living God. He<n id="5" /> shouted out with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given permission<n id="6" /> to damage the earth and the sea:<n id="7" />

He<n id="1" /> opened the shaft of the abyss and smoke rose out of it<n id="2" /> like smoke from a giant furnace. The<n id="3" /> sun and the air were darkened with smoke from the shaft.

When<n id="1" /> they have completed their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war on them and conquer<n id="2" /> them and kill them.

They<n id="1" /> went up<n id="2" /> on the broad plain of the earth<n id="3" /> and encircled<n id="4" /> the camp<n id="5" /> of the saints and the beloved city, but<n id="6" /> fire came down from heaven and devoured them completely.<n id="7" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">After these things I looked, and there was<n id="1" /> a door standing open in heaven!<n id="2" /> And the first voice I had heard speaking to me<n id="3" /> like a trumpet<n id="4" /> said: &#8220;Come up here so that<n id="5" /> I can show you what must happen after these things.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> I saw a beast coming up out of the sea. It<n id="2" /> had ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns were ten diadem crowns,<n id="3" /> and on its heads a blasphemous name.<n id="4" />

And the smoke from their<n id="1" /> torture will go up<n id="2" /> forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have<n id="3" /> no rest day or night, along with<n id="4" /> anyone who receives the mark of his name.&#8221;

The beast you saw was, and is not, but is about to come up from the abyss<n id="1" /> and then go to destruction. The<n id="2" /> inhabitants of the earth &#8211; all those whose names have not been written in the book of life since the foundation of the world &#8211; will be astounded when they see that<n id="3" /> the beast was, and is not, but is to come.
