If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a<n id="1" /> member is honored, all rejoice with it.p>

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Should I take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!

So now there are many members, but one body.

for we are members of his body.<n id="1" />

For just as in one body we have many members, and not all the members serve the same function,

For in fact the body is not a single member, but many.

If they were all the same member, where would the body be?

On the contrary, those members that seem to be weaker are essential,

<p class="bodytext">Now you are Christ&#8217;s body, and each of you is a member of it.

and do not present your members to sin as instruments<n id="1" /> to be used for unrighteousness,<n id="2" /> but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead and your members to God as instruments<n id="3" /> to be used for righteousness.

(I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh.)<n id="1" /> For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

But I see a different law in my members waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that is in my members.

<t /><p class="bodytext">For just as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body &#8211; though many &#8211; are one body, so too is Christ.

so we who are many are one body in Christ, and individually we are members who belong to one another.

But as a matter of fact, God has placed each of the members in the body just as he decided.

so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may have mutual concern for one another.

<p class="bodytext">Therefore, having laid aside falsehood<i>, <b>each one of you speak the truth with his neighborb>,i><n id="1" /> for we are members of one another.

So put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth:<n id="1" /> sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion,<n id="2" /> evil desire, and greed which is idolatry.

So too the tongue is a small part of the body,<n id="1" /> yet it has great pretensions.<n id="2" /> Think<n id="3" /> how small a flame sets a huge forest ablaze.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Where do the conflicts and where<n id="1" /> do the quarrels among you come from? Is it not from this,<n id="2" /> from your passions that battle inside you?<n id="3" />
