But Jesus<n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;Let the dead bury their own dead,<n id="2" /> but as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.&#8221;<n id="3" />

Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living,<n id="1" /> for all live before him.&#8221;<n id="2" />

So<n id="1" /> the dead man<n id="2" /> sat up and began to speak, and Jesus<n id="3" /> gave him back<n id="4" /> to his mother.

Then<n id="1" /> the rich man<n id="2" /> said, &#8216;No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead<n id="3" /> goes to them, they will repent.&#8217;

and said to them, &#8220;Thus it stands written that the Christ<n id="1" /> would suffer<n id="2" /> and would rise from the dead on the third day,

because this son of mine was dead, and is alive again &#8211; he was lost and is found!&#8217;<n id="1" /> So<n id="2" /> they began to celebrate.p>

It was appropriate<n id="1" /> to celebrate and be glad, for your brother<n id="2" /> was dead, and is alive; he was lost and is found.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

He<n id="1" /> replied to him, &#8216;If they do not respond to<n id="2" /> Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

But those who are regarded as worthy to share in<n id="1" /> that age and in the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.<n id="2" />

But even Moses revealed that the dead are raised<n id="1" /> in the passage about the bush,<n id="2" /> where he calls the Lord <b><i>the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacobi>b>.<n id="3" />

The<n id="1" /> women<n id="2" /> were terribly frightened<n id="3" /> and bowed<n id="4" /> their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, &#8220;Why do you look for the living<n id="5" /> among the dead?

So<n id="1" /> he answered them,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Go tell<n id="3" /> John what you have seen and heard:<n id="4" /> The blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the<n id="5" /> deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have good news proclaimed to them.
