For those who sleep, sleep at night and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

<p class="bodytext">When the fourteenth night had come, while we were being driven<n id="1" /> across the Adriatic Sea,<n id="2" /> about midnight the sailors suspected they were approaching some land.<n id="3" />

After he fasted forty days and forty nights he was famished.<n id="1" />

As the night was ending,<n id="1" /> Jesus came to them walking on the sea.<n id="2" />

But at midnight there was a shout, &#8216;Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.&#8217;<n id="1" />

Judas<n id="1" /> took the piece of bread and went out immediately. (Now it was night.)<n id="2" />p>

For you know quite well that the day of the Lord<n id="1" /> will come in the same way as a thief in the night.<n id="2" />

For just as Jonah was <b><i>in the belly of the huge fishi>b><n id="1" /> <i><b>for three days and three nightsb>i>,<n id="2" /> so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

Then he got up, took the child and his mother during<n id="1" /> the night, and went to Egypt.

telling them, &#8220;You are to say, &#8216;His disciples came at night and stole his body<n id="1" /> while we were asleep.&#8217;

But if anyone walks around at night,<n id="1" /> he stumbles,<n id="2" /> because the light is not in him.&#8221;p>

But during the night an angel of the Lord<n id="1" /> opened<n id="2" /> the doors of the prison,<n id="3" /> led them out,<n id="4" /> and said,

But his disciples took him at night and let him down through an opening<n id="1" /> in the wall by lowering him in a basket.<n id="2" />p>

Therefore be alert,<n id="1" /> remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning<n id="2" /> each one of you with tears.

<p class="bodytext">So the soldiers, in accordance with their orders,<n id="1" /> took<n id="2" /> Paul and brought him to Antipatris<n id="3" /> during the night.

For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong<n id="1" /> and whom I serve<n id="2" /> came to me<n id="3" />

For you all are sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness.

Its gates will never be closed during the day<n id="1" /> (and<n id="2" /> there will be no night there).<n id="3" />

Jesus said to him, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="1" /> on this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.&#8221;

He goes to sleep and gets up, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.
