We are experiencing trouble on every side,<n id="1" /> but are not crushed; we are perplexed,<n id="2" /> but not driven to despair;

we are persecuted, but not abandoned;<n id="1" /> we are knocked down,<n id="2" /> but not destroyed,

For if the eagerness is present, the gift itself<n id="1" /> is acceptable according to whatever one has, not according to what he does not have.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is led into sin,<n id="1" /> and I do not burn with indignation?

if indeed, after we have put on<n id="1" /> our heavenly house,<n id="2" /> we will not be found naked.

for we live<n id="1" /> by faith, not by sight.

For though we live<n id="1" /> as human beings,<n id="2" /> we do not wage war according to human standards,<n id="3" />

But as God is faithful, our message to you is not &#8220;Yes&#8221; and &#8220;No.&#8221;

as it is written: &#8220;<b><i>The one who gatheredi>b><n id="1" /> <i><b>much did not have too muchb>, <b>and the one who gatheredb>i> <b><i>little did not have too littlei>b>.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

For if someone comes and proclaims<n id="1" /> another Jesus different from the one we proclaimed,<n id="2" /> or if you receive a different spirit than the one you received,<n id="3" /> or a different gospel than the one you accepted,<n id="4" /> you put up with it well enough!<n id="5" />

Look, for the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you, because I do not want your possessions, but you. For children should not have<n id="1" /> to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

For if I boast somewhat more about our authority that the Lord gave us<n id="1" /> for building you up and not for tearing you down, I will not be ashamed of doing so.<n id="2" />

I urged Titus to visit you<n id="1" /> and I sent our<n id="2" /> brother along with him. Titus did not take advantage of you, did he?<n id="3" /> Did we not conduct ourselves in the same spirit? Did we not behave in the same way?<n id="4" />

so that we may not be exploited<n id="1" /> by Satan (for we are not ignorant of his schemes).

<t /><p class="bodytext">Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy,<n id="1" /> we do not become discouraged.<n id="2" />

Our affection for you is not restricted,<n id="1" /> but you are restricted in your affections for us.

For we are <i>concerned about what is right not only before the Lord but also before meni>.<n id="1" />

so that we may preach the gospel in the regions that lie beyond you, and not boast of work already done in another person&#8217;s area.

Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!<n id="1" />

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself<n id="1" /> as an angel of light.
