<t /><p class="bodytext">Now Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and miraculous signs<n id="1" /> among the people.

because he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith, and a significant number of people<n id="1" /> were brought to the Lord.

<p class="bodytext">When<n id="1" /> they heard<n id="2" /> this they became enraged<n id="3" /> and began to shout,<n id="4" /> &#8220;Great is Artemis<n id="5" /> of the Ephesians!&#8221;

But carefully select from among you, brothers,<n id="1" /> seven<n id="2" /> men who are well-attested,<n id="3" /> full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge<n id="4" /> of this necessary task.<n id="5" />

and said, &#8220;You who are full of all deceit and all wrongdoing,<n id="1" /> you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness &#8211; will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?<n id="2" />
