The officers replied, &#8220;No one ever spoke like this man!&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now as Jesus was passing by,<n id="1" /> he saw a man who had been blind from birth.

He did not need anyone to testify about man,<n id="1" /> for he knew what was in man.<n id="2" />p>

But if a male child<n id="1" /> is circumcised<n id="2" /> on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses is not broken,<n id="3" /> why are you angry with me because I made a man completely well<n id="4" /> on the Sabbath?

<i>In him was lifei>,<n id="1" /> and the life was the light of mankind.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">A man came, sent from God, whose name was John.<n id="1" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now a certain man, a Pharisee<n id="1" /> named Nicodemus, who was a member of the Jewish ruling council,<n id="2" />

and he has granted the Son<n id="1" /> authority to execute judgment,<n id="2" /> because he is the Son of Man.p>

Then what if you see the Son of Man ascending where he was before?<n id="1" />

For they loved praise<n id="1" /> from men more than praise<n id="2" /> from God.p>

<p class="bodytext">Then they summoned<n id="1" /> the man who used to be blind<n id="2" /> a second time and said to him, &#8220;Promise before God to tell the truth.<n id="3" /> We know that this man<n id="4" /> is a sinner.&#8221;

The true light, who gives light to everyone,<n id="1" /> was coming into the world.<n id="2" />

No one<n id="1" /> has ascended<n id="2" /> into heaven except the one who descended from heaven &#8211; the Son of Man.<n id="3" />

Just as<n id="1" /> Moses <i>lifted up the serpenti><n id="2" /> <i>in the wildernessi>,<n id="3" /> so must the Son of Man be lifted up,<n id="4" />

Then the woman left her water jar, went off into the town and said to the people,<n id="1" />

Now a man was there who had been disabled for thirty-eight years.<n id="1" />

They asked him, &#8220;Who is the man who said to you, &#8216;Pick up your mat<n id="1" /> and walk&#8217;?&#8221;<n id="2" />

The man went away and informed the Jewish leaders<n id="1" /> that Jesus was the one who had made him well.p>
