He also said to them, “A lamp ¹  isn’t brought to be put under a basket ²  or under a bed, is it? Isn’t it to be placed on a lampstand?

After he took the children in his arms, he placed his hands on them and blessed them.

Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where the body ¹  was placed.

He also asked, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable can we use to present it?

When John’s ¹  disciples heard this, they came and took his body and placed it in a tomb.

Then Jesus ¹  placed his hands on the man’s ²  eyes again. And he opened his eyes, ³  his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

Again and again ¹  they struck him on the head with a staff ²  and spit on him. Then they knelt down and paid homage to him.

David himself, by the Holy Spirit, said, ‘The Lord said to my lord, ¹  “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet.”’ ² 

After Joseph ¹  bought a linen cloth ²  and took down the body, he wrapped it in the linen and placed it in a tomb cut out of the rock. ³  Then ⁴  he rolled a stone across the entrance ⁵  of the tomb.

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. ¹  He has been raised! ²  He is not here. Look, there is the place where they laid him.

And wherever he would go – into villages, towns, or countryside – they would place the sick in the marketplaces, and would ask him if ¹  they could just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.
