<p class="otpoetry">&#8216;<b><i>Andi>b> in the last days<n id="1" /> <b><i>it will be,i>b>&#8217; <b><i>God says,i>b>p> <p class="otpoetry">&#8216;<b><i>that I will pour out my Spirit on all people,i>b><n id="2" />p> <p class="otpoetry"><b><i>and your sons and your daughters will prophesy,i>b>p> <p class="otpoetry"><b><i>and your young men will see visions,i>b>p> <p class="otpoetry"><i><b>and your old men will dream dreamsb>.i>p>

And now, brothers, I know you acted in ignorance,<n id="1" /> as your rulers did too.

Peter said to them, &#8220;Repent, and each one of you be baptized<n id="1" /> in the name of Jesus Christ<n id="2" /> for<n id="3" /> the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.<n id="4" />

When they opposed him<n id="1" /> and reviled him,<n id="2" /> he protested by shaking out his clothes<n id="3" /> and said to them, &#8220;Your blood<n id="4" /> be on your own heads! I am guiltless!<n id="5" /> From now on I will go to the Gentiles!&#8221;

This Jesus<n id="1" /> is <b><i>the stone that was rejected byi>b> you,<n id="2" /> <b><i>the builders, that has become the cornerstonei>b>.<n id="3" />

Even from among your own group<n id="1" /> men<n id="2" /> will arise, teaching perversions of the truth<n id="3" /> to draw the disciples away after them.

And now I advise<n id="1" /> you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only the ship will be lost.<n id="2" />

He told them, &#8220;You are not permitted to know<n id="1" /> the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority.

For the promise<n id="1" /> is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.&#8221;

Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

God raised up<n id="1" /> his servant and sent him first to you, to bless you by turning<n id="2" /> each one of you from your iniquities.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

But Peter and John replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Whether it is right before God to obey<n id="2" /> you rather than God, you decide,

But carefully select from among you, brothers,<n id="1" /> seven<n id="2" /> men who are well-attested,<n id="3" /> full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge<n id="4" /> of this necessary task.<n id="5" />

This is the Moses who said to the Israelites,<n id="1" /> &#8216;<b><i>God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothersi>b>.&#8217;<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You stubborn<n id="1" /> people, with uncircumcised<n id="2" /> hearts and ears!<n id="3" /> You are always resisting the Holy Spirit, like your ancestors<n id="4" /> did!

yet he did not leave himself without a witness by doing good,<n id="1" /> by giving you rain from heaven<n id="2" /> and fruitful seasons, satisfying you<n id="3" /> with food and your hearts with joy.&#8221;<n id="4" />

Since we have heard that some have gone out from among us with no orders from us and have confused<n id="1" /> you, upsetting<n id="2" /> your minds<n id="3" /> by what they said,<n id="4" />

other than<n id="1" /> this one thing<n id="2" /> I shouted out while I stood before<n id="3" /> them: &#8216;I am on trial before you today concerning the resurrection of the dead.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

Therefore I urge you to take some food, for this is important<n id="1" /> for your survival.<n id="2" /> For not one of you will lose a hair from his head.&#8221;

and said, &#8220;Men of Galilee, why do you stand here<n id="1" /> looking up into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven<n id="2" /> will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven.&#8221;p>
