Then<n id="1" /> he said to them, &#8220;The Son of Man is lord<n id="2" /> of the Sabbath.&#8221;p>

He then<n id="1" /> told them a parable:<n id="2" /> &#8220;The land of a certain rich man produced<n id="3" /> an abundant crop,

It will be the same on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

For the Son of Man came<n id="1" /> to seek and to save the lost.&#8221;p>

But Jesus said to him, &#8220;Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?&#8221;<n id="1" />

You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

Just<n id="1" /> as it was<n id="2" /> in the days of Noah,<n id="3" /> so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man.

Then<n id="1" /> they will see <i>the Son of Mani> <i>arriving in a cloudi><n id="2" /> with power and great glory.

But from now on<n id="1" /> <i>the Son of Man will be seated at the right handi><n id="2" /> of the power<n id="3" /> of God.&#8221;

The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, &#8216;Look at him,<n id="1" /> a glutton and a drunk, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!&#8217;<n id="2" />

So<n id="1" /> the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd of pigs<n id="2" /> rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned.

&#8220;Take these words to heart,<n id="1" /> for the Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.&#8221;<n id="2" />

For just as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh,<n id="1" /> so the Son of Man will be a sign<n id="2" /> to this generation.<n id="3" />

And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the person who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit<n id="1" /> will not be forgiven.<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> he said to the disciples, &#8220;The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days<n id="2" /> of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

For just like the lightning flashes<n id="1" /> and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.<n id="2" />

But stay alert at all times,<n id="1" /> praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that must<n id="2" /> happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.&#8221;p>

For the Son of Man is to go just as it has been determined,<n id="1" /> but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!&#8221;

that<n id="1" /> the Son of Man must be delivered<n id="2" /> into the hands of sinful men,<n id="3" /> and be crucified,<n id="4" /> and on the third day rise again.&#8221;<n id="5" />

<p class="poetry">&#8220;Blessed are you when people<n id="1" /> hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject you as evil<n id="2" /> on account of the Son of Man!
