<p class="poetry">Let us rejoice<n id="1" /> and exultp> <p class="poetry">and give him glory,p> <p class="poetry">because the wedding celebration of the Lamb has come,p> <p class="poetry">and his bride has made herself ready.p>

The<n id="1" /> wall of the city has twelve foundations, and on them are the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.p>

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> the angel<n id="2" /> showed me the river of the water of life &#8211; water as clear as crystal &#8211; pouring out<n id="3" /> from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

And there will no longer be any curse,<n id="1" /> and the throne of God and the Lamb will be in the city.<n id="2" /> His<n id="3" /> servants<n id="4" /> will worship<n id="5" /> him,

and when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders threw themselves to the ground<n id="1" /> before the Lamb. Each<n id="2" /> of them had a harp and golden bowls full of incense (which are the prayers of the saints).<n id="3" />

They<n id="1" /> said to the mountains and to the rocks, &#8220;Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who is seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,<n id="2" />

<p class="poetry">But<n id="1" /> they overcame himp> <p class="poetry">by the blood of the Lambp> <p class="poetry">and by the word of their testimony,p> <p class="poetry">and they did not love their lives<n id="2" /> so much that they were afraid to die.p>

and all those who live on the earth will worship the beast,<n id="1" /> everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world<n id="2" /> in the book of life belonging to the Lamb who was killed.<n id="3" />

that person<n id="1" /> will also drink of the wine of God&#8217;s anger<n id="2" /> that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur<n id="3" /> in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb.

They will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those accompanying<n id="1" /> the Lamb are the called, chosen, and faithful.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> the angel<n id="2" /> said to me, &#8220;Write the following: Blessed are those who are invited to the banquet at the wedding celebration of the Lamb!&#8221; He also said to me, &#8220;These are the true words of God.&#8221;

but<n id="1" /> nothing ritually unclean<n id="2" /> will ever enter into it, nor anyone who does what is detestable<n id="3" /> or practices falsehood,<n id="4" /> but only those whose names<n id="5" /> are written in the Lamb&#8217;s book of life.p>

<p class="bodytext">After these things I looked, and here was<n id="1" /> an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe,<n id="2" /> people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands.

So<n id="1" /> I said to him, &#8220;My lord, you know the answer.&#8221;<n id="2" /> Then<n id="3" /> he said to me, &#8220;These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation. They<n id="4" /> have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb!

They<n id="1" /> sang the song of Moses the servant<n id="2" /> of God and the song of the Lamb:<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;Great and astounding are your deeds,p> <p class="poetry">Lord God, the All-Powerful!<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">Just<n id="5" /> and true are your ways,p> <p class="poetry">King over the nations!<n id="6" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came and spoke to me,<n id="2" /> saying, &#8220;Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb!&#8221;
