But<n id="1" /> indeed,<n id="2" /> some are last<n id="3" /> who will be first, and some are first who will be last.&#8221;p>

In fact, they can no longer die, because they are equal to angels<n id="1" /> and are sons of God, since they are<n id="2" /> sons<n id="3" /> of the resurrection.

They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to one another,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">&#8216;We played the flute for you, yet you did not dance;<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">we wailed in mourning,<n id="3" /> yet you did not weep.&#8217;p>

Those along the path are the ones who have heard; then the devil<n id="1" /> comes and takes away the word<n id="2" /> from their hearts, so that they may not believe<n id="3" /> and be saved.

As for the seed that<n id="1" /> fell among thorns, these are the ones who hear, but<n id="2" /> as they go on their way they are choked<n id="3" /> by the worries and riches and pleasures of life,<n id="4" /> and their fruit does not mature.<n id="5" />

Then<n id="1" /> he will reply<n id="2" /> from inside, &#8216;Do not bother me. The door is already shut, and my children and I are in bed.<n id="3" /> I cannot get up and give you anything.&#8217;<n id="4" />

The<n id="1" /> master commended the dishonest<n id="2" /> manager because he acted shrewdly.<n id="3" /> For the people<n id="4" /> of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their contemporaries<n id="5" /> than the people<n id="6" /> of light.

But he said to them, &#8220;You<n id="1" /> give them something to eat.&#8221; They<n id="2" /> replied,<n id="3" /> &#8220;We have no more than five loaves and two fish &#8211; unless<n id="4" /> we go<n id="5" /> and buy food<n id="6" /> for all these people.&#8221;

But the president of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, &#8220;There are six days on which work<n id="1" /> should be done!<n id="2" /> So come<n id="3" /> and be healed on those days, and not on the Sabbath day.&#8221;
