<p class="poetry">Give us today our daily bread,<n id="1" />p>

But Peter<n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;Explain this parable to us.&#8221;

Later,<n id="1" /> the other virgins came too, saying, &#8216;Lord, lord! Let us in!&#8217;<n id="2" />

saying, &#8220;Prophesy for us, you Christ!<n id="1" /> Who hit you?&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">and forgive us our debts, as we ourselves<n id="1" /> have forgiven our debtors.p>

The disciples said to him, &#8220;Where can we get enough bread in this desolate place to satisfy so great a crowd?&#8221;

Tell us then, what do you think? Is it right<n id="1" /> to pay taxes<n id="2" /> to Caesar<n id="3" /> or not?&#8221;p>

So Jesus replied<n id="1" /> to him, &#8220;Let it happen now,<n id="2" /> for it is right for us to fulfill all righteousness.&#8221; Then John<n id="3" /> yielded<n id="4" /> to him.

They<n id="1" /> cried out, &#8220;Son of God, leave us alone!<n id="2" /> Have you come here to torment us before the time?&#8221;<n id="3" />

Then Peter said<n id="1" /> to him, &#8220;Look,<n id="2" /> we have left everything to follow you!<n id="3" /> What then will there be for us?&#8221;

saying, &#8216;These last fellows worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us who bore the hardship and burning heat of the day.&#8217;

The<n id="1" /> foolish ones said to the wise, &#8216;Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.&#8217;

&#8216;No,&#8217; they replied.<n id="1" /> &#8216;There won&#8217;t be enough for you and for us. Go instead to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.&#8217;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him saying, &#8220;Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.&#8221;

Where did John&#8217;s baptism come from? From heaven or from people?&#8221;<n id="1" /> They discussed this among themselves, saying, &#8220;If we say, &#8216;From heaven,&#8217; he will say, &#8216;Then why did you not believe him?&#8217;

Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children he left his wife to his brother.

<t /><p class="bodytext">As<n id="1" /> he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and said, &#8220;Tell us, when will these things<n id="2" /> happen? And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?&#8221;

But Jesus was silent. The<n id="1" /> high priest said to him, &#8220;I charge you under oath by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ,<n id="2" /> the Son of God.&#8221;
