He came to a town called Nazareth<n id="1" /> and lived there. Then what had been spoken by the prophets was fulfilled, that Jesus<n id="2" /> would be called a Nazarene.<n id="3" />p>

Now he came to a Samaritan town<n id="1" /> called Sychar,<n id="2" /> near the plot of land that Jacob had given to his son Joseph.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">Thus Jesus no longer went<n id="1" /> around publicly<n id="2" /> among the Judeans,<n id="3" /> but went away from there to the region near the wilderness, to a town called Ephraim,<n id="4" /> and stayed there with his disciples.

And a man lame<n id="1" /> from birth<n id="2" /> was being carried up, who was placed at the temple gate called &#8220;the Beautiful Gate&#8221; every day<n id="3" /> so he could beg for money<n id="4" /> from those going into the temple courts.<n id="5" />
