For God said,<n id="1" /> &#8216;<b><i>Honor your father and motheri>b>&#8217;<n id="2" /> and &#8216;<b><i>Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to deathi>b>.&#8217;<n id="3" />

For Moses said, &#8216;<b><i>Honor your father and your motheri>b>,&#8217;<n id="1" /> and, &#8216;<i><b>Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to deathb>.i>&#8217;<n id="2" />

<b><i>honor your father and mother,i>b><n id="1" /> and <b><i>love your neighbor as yourselfi>b>.&#8221;<n id="2" />

<b><i>For this reason a man will leave his father and mother,i>b><n id="1" />

Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother who was also a mother to me.<n id="1" />

Then he got up, took the child and his mother during<n id="1" /> the night, and went to Egypt.

So<n id="1" /> he got up and took the child and his mother and returned to the land of Israel.

&#8220;<b><i>Honor your father and motheri>,b>&#8221;<n id="1" /> which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely,

You know the commandments: &#8216;<b><i>Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and motheri>b>.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="1" />

So when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, &#8220;Woman,<n id="1" /> look, here is your son!&#8221;

<b><i>For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife, and the two will becomei>b><n id="1" /> <i><b>one flesh.b>i><n id="2" />

saying, &#8220;Get up, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who were seeking the child&#8217;s life are dead.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

and said, &#8216;<b><i>For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one fleshi>b>&#8217;?<n id="1" />

And whoever has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much<n id="1" /> and will inherit eternal life.

And they began making fun of him.<n id="1" /> But he put them all outside<n id="2" /> and he took the child&#8217;s father and mother and his own companions<n id="3" /> and went into the room where the child was.<n id="4" />

You know the commandments: &#8216;<b><i>Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,i>b> <i>do not defraud<b>, honor your father and motherb>i>.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="1" />

Jesus said, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="1" /> there is no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel

Then<n id="1" /> Simeon blessed them and said to his mother Mary, &#8220;Listen carefully:<n id="2" /> This child<n id="3" /> is destined to be the cause of the falling and rising<n id="4" /> of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be rejected.<n id="5" />

Now when he came to the house, Jesus<n id="1" /> did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John,<n id="2" /> and James, and the child&#8217;s father and mother.
