A little yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise!<n id="1" />

If the whole body were an eye, what part would do the hearing? If the whole were an ear, what part would exercise the sense of smell?

If<n id="1" /> then<n id="2" /> your whole body is full of light, with no part in the dark,<n id="3" /> it will be as full of light as when the light of a lamp shines on you.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled:

The<n id="1" /> chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were trying to find false testimony against Jesus so that they could put him to death.

For what benefit is it for a person<n id="1" /> to gain the whole world, yet<n id="2" /> forfeit his life?

For what does it benefit a person<n id="1" /> if he gains the whole world but loses or forfeits himself?

It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with<n id="1" /> three measures<n id="2" /> of flour until all the dough had risen.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Your boasting is not good. Don&#8217;t you know that a little yeast<n id="1" /> affects<n id="2" /> the whole batch of dough?

And I testify again to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey<n id="1" /> the whole law.

For the one who obeys the whole law but fails<n id="1" /> in one point has become guilty of all of it.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;The eye is the lamp of the body. If then your eye is healthy,<n id="1" /> your whole body will be full of light.

But this has happened so that<n id="1" /> the scriptures of the prophets would be fulfilled.&#8221; Then all the disciples left him and fled.p>

The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find anything.

Suddenly<n id="1" /> a sound<n id="2" /> like a violent wind blowing<n id="3" /> came from heaven<n id="4" /> and filled the entire house where they were sitting.
