He said to them, “How then does David by the Spirit call him ‘Lord,’ saying,p>

You snakes, you offspring of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?<n id="1" />p>

How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?&#8221;

Why do you worry about clothing? Think about how the flowers<n id="1" /> of the field grow; they do not work<n id="2" /> or spin.

Whenever<n id="1" /> they hand you over for trial, do not worry about how to speak or what to say,<n id="2" /> for what you should say will be given to you at that time.<n id="3" />

Offspring of vipers! How are you able to say anything good, since you are evil? For the mouth speaks from what fills the heart.

How could you not understand that I was not speaking to you about bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees!&#8221;

Or how can you say<n id="1" /> to your brother, &#8216;Let me remove the speck from your eye,&#8217; while there is a beam in your own?

how he entered the house of God and they ate<n id="1" /> the sacred bread,<n id="2" /> which was against the law<n id="3" /> for him or his companions to eat, but only for the priests?<n id="4" />

How<n id="1" /> else can someone enter a strong man&#8217;s<n id="2" /> house and steal his property, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can thoroughly plunder the house.<n id="3" />
