because you are attaining the goal of your faith – the salvation of your souls.

that we should be saved ¹  from our enemies, ²  and from the hand of all who hate us.

For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness ¹  and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation. ² 

Brothers and sisters, ¹  my heart’s desire and prayer to God on behalf of my fellow Israelites ²  is for their salvation.

For sadness as intended by God produces a repentance that leads to salvation, leaving no regret, but worldly sadness brings about death.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those ¹  who will inherit salvation?

who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

And ¹  yearn ²  like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, ³  so that by it you may grow up to ⁴  salvation, ⁵

for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance ¹  through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

so also, after Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, ¹  to those who eagerly await him he will appear a second time, not to bear sin ²  but to bring salvation. ³ 

And regard the patience of our Lord as salvation, ¹  just as also our dear brother Paul ²  wrote to you, ³  according to the wisdom given to him,

So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, ¹ 

But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters ¹  loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning ²  for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

By faith Noah, when he was warned about things not yet seen, with reverent regard ¹  constructed an ark for the deliverance of his family. Through faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
