They left their nets immediately and followed him.<n id="1" />

And whenever the unclean spirits<n id="1" /> saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, &#8220;You are the Son of God.&#8221;

Then Jesus said to them, &#8220;Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar&#8217;s, and to God the things that are God&#8217;s.&#8221;<n id="1" /> And they were utterly amazed at him.p>

and to have authority to cast out demons.

All these evils come from within and defile a person.&#8221;p>

First the gospel must be preached to all nations.

Jesus<n id="1" /> gave them permission.<n id="2" /> So<n id="3" /> the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs. Then the herd rushed down the steep slope into the lake, and about two thousand were drowned in the lake.p>

There is nothing outside of a person that can defile him by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles him.&#8221;p>

But after turning and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, &#8220;Get behind me, Satan. You are not setting your mind on God&#8217;s interests, but on man&#8217;s.&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

So<n id="1" /> he went into all of Galilee preaching in their synagogues<n id="2" /> and casting out demons.p>

So many gathered that there was no longer any room, not even by<n id="1" /> the door, and he preached the word to them.

Now<n id="1" /> a great windstorm<n id="2" /> developed and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was nearly swamped.

When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,<n id="1" />

Immediately he got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.<n id="1" />p>

Many spread their cloaks on the road and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

The one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

Again and again<n id="1" /> they struck him on the head with a staff<n id="2" /> and spit on him. Then they knelt down and paid homage to him.

Then<n id="1" /> they crucified<n id="2" /> him and <i>divided his clothes, throwing dicei><n id="3" /> for them, to decide what each would take.

Going on a little farther, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother in their<n id="1" /> boat mending nets.

The experts in the law<n id="1" /> who came down from Jerusalem<n id="2" /> said, &#8220;He is possessed by Beelzebul,&#8221;<n id="3" /> and, &#8220;By the ruler<n id="4" /> of demons he casts out demons.&#8221;
