eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality,

They will bring the grandeur and the wealth<n id="1" /> of the nations<n id="2" /> into it,

Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.p>

(For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.)<n id="1" />

And no one assumes this honor<n id="1" /> on his own initiative,<n id="2" /> but only when called to it by God,<n id="3" /> as in fact Aaron was.

Has the potter no right to make from the same lump of clay<n id="1" /> one vessel for special use and another for ordinary use?<n id="2" />

and those members we consider less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our unpresentable members are clothed with dignity,<n id="1" />

but our presentable members do not need this. Instead, God has blended together the body, giving greater honor to the lesser member,

<p class="bodytext">Now in a wealthy home<n id="1" /> there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also ones made of wood and of clay, and some are for honorable use, but others for ignoble use.<n id="2" />

So if someone cleanses himself of such behavior,<n id="1" /> he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

For he has come to deserve greater glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house deserves greater honor than the house itself!

<p class="bodytext">And whenever the living creatures give glory, honor,<n id="1" /> and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

Then what was spoken by Jeremiah<n id="1" /> the prophet was fulfilled: &#8220;<i>They took the thirty silver coins, the price of the one whose price had been set by the people of Israeli>,<n id="2" />

Such trials show the proven character of your faith,<n id="1" /> which is much more valuable than gold &#8211; gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away<n id="2" /> &#8211; and will bring praise<n id="3" /> and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.<n id="4" />

Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as the weaker partners<n id="1" /> and show them honor as fellow heirs of the grace of life. In this way nothing will hinder your prayers.<n id="2" />p>

For he received honor and glory from God the Father, when that<n id="1" /> voice was conveyed to him by the Majestic Glory: &#8220;This is my dear Son, in whom I am delighted.&#8221;<n id="2" />

<p class="poetry">&#8220;You are worthy, our Lord and God,p> <p class="poetry">to receive glory and honor and power,p> <p class="poetry">since you created all things,p> <p class="poetry">and because of your will they existed and were created!&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

all of whom<n id="1" /> were singing<n id="2" /> in a loud voice:p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;Worthy is the lamb who was killed<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">to receive power and wealthp> <p class="poetry">and wisdom and mightp> <p class="poetry">and honor and glory and praise!&#8221;p>
