and a third of the creatures<n id="1" /> living in the sea died, and a third of the ships were completely destroyed.<n id="2" />p>

Furthermore,<n id="1" /> they did not repent of their murders, of their magic spells,<n id="2" /> of their sexual immorality, or of their stealing.p>

They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their sufferings<n id="1" /> and because of their sores,<n id="2" /> but nevertheless<n id="3" /> they still refused to repent<n id="4" /> of their deeds.p>

The<n id="1" /> smoke coming from the incense,<n id="2" /> along with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel&#8217;s hand.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came and spoke to me,<n id="2" /> saying, &#8220;Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb!&#8221;

and from Jesus Christ &#8211; the faithful<n id="1" /> witness,<n id="2" /> the firstborn from among the dead, the ruler over the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and has set us free<n id="3" /> from our sins at the cost of<n id="4" /> his own blood

Woe to those who live on the earth because of the remaining sounds of the trumpets of the three angels who are about to blow them!&#8221;<n id="5" />p>

A third of humanity was killed by these three plagues, that is,<n id="1" /> by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur that came out of their mouths.

But<n id="1" /> he said to me, &#8220;Do not do this!<n id="2" /> I am a fellow servant<n id="3" /> with you and with your brothers the prophets, and with those who obey<n id="4" /> the words of this book. Worship God!&#8221;

Then<n id="1" /> the winepress was stomped<n id="2" /> outside the city, and blood poured out of the winepress up to the height of horses&#8217; bridles<n id="3" /> for a distance of almost two hundred miles.<n id="4" />p>

On<n id="1" /> her forehead was written a name, a mystery:<n id="2" /> &#8220;Babylon the Great, the Mother of prostitutes and of the detestable things of the earth.&#8221;

They will bring the grandeur and the wealth<n id="1" /> of the nations<n id="2" /> into it,

and they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

<p class="bodytext">And all the angels stood<n id="1" /> there in a circle around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground<n id="2" /> before the throne and worshiped God,

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> the third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star burning like a torch fell from the sky;<n id="2" /> it landed<n id="3" /> on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
