<p class="bodytext">&#8220;I have spoken these things while staying<n id="1" /> with you.

For I have given you an example<n id="1" /> &#8211; you should do just as I have done for you.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;I have told you these things in obscure figures of speech;<n id="1" /> a time<n id="2" /> is coming when I will no longer speak to you in obscure figures, but will tell you<n id="3" /> plainly<n id="4" /> about the Father.

But it is your custom that I release one prisoner<n id="1" /> for you at the Passover.<n id="2" /> So do you want me to release for you the king of the Jews?&#8221;

This<n id="1" /> I command you &#8211; to love one another.p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away.<n id="1" />

If I have told you people<n id="1" /> about earthly things and you don&#8217;t believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?<n id="2" />

I have told you these things<n id="1" /> so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.

<p class="bodytext">Then Jesus told them, &#8220;I tell you the solemn truth,<n id="1" /> it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but my Father is giving you the true bread from heaven.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Peace I leave with you;<n id="1" /> my peace I give to you; I do not give it<n id="2" /> to you as the world does.<n id="3" /> Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.<n id="4" />

But I have told you these things<n id="1" /> so that when their time<n id="2" /> comes, you will remember that I told you about them.<n id="3" />p> <p class="bodytext">&#8220;I did not tell you these things from the beginning because I was with you.<n id="4" />

There are many dwelling places<n id="1" /> in my Father&#8217;s house.<n id="2" /> Otherwise, I would have told you, because<n id="3" /> I am going away to make ready<n id="4" /> a place for you.<n id="5" />

If you remain<n id="1" /> in me and my words remain<n id="2" /> in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you.<n id="3" />

But I told you<n id="1" /> that you have seen me<n id="2" /> and still do not believe.

I tell you the solemn truth,<n id="1" /> the one who believes<n id="2" /> has eternal life.<n id="3" />

Jesus said to them, &#8220;I tell you the solemn truth,<n id="1" /> before Abraham came into existence,<n id="2" /> I am!&#8221;<n id="3" />

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe.<n id="1" />

You are clean already<n id="1" /> because of the word that I have spoken to you.

You are my friends<n id="1" /> if you do what I command you.

Instead your hearts are filled with sadness<n id="1" /> because I have said these things to you.
