<p class="poetry">because of the God of your father,p> <p class="poetry">who will help you,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">because of the sovereign God,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">who will bless you<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">with blessings from the sky above,p> <p class="poetry">blessings from the deep that lies below,p> <p class="poetry">and blessings of the breasts and womb.<n id="4" />p>

I will turn them and the regions around my hill into a blessing. I will make showers come down in their season; they will be showers that bring blessing.<n id="1" />

But Isaac<n id="1" /> replied, &#8220;Your brother came in here deceitfully and took away<n id="2" /> your blessing.&#8221;

<p class="poetry">All day long he shows compassion and lends to others,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">and his children<n id="2" /> are blessed.p>

<p class="poetry">Then I will make you<n id="1" /> into a great nation, and I will bless you,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">and I will make your name great,<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">so that you will exemplify divine blessing.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="poetry">the blessing of the dying man descended on me,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">and I made the widow&#8217;s heart rejoice;<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">Such godly people are rewarded by the <sc>Lordsc>,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">and vindicated by the God who delivers them.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">He loved to curse<n id="1" /> others, so those curses have come upon him.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">He had no desire to bless anyone, so he has experienced no blessings.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">Blessings<n id="1" /> are on the head of the righteous,p> <p class="poetry">but the speech<n id="2" /> of the wicked conceals<n id="3" /> violence.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="poetry">The blessing<n id="1" /> from the <sc>Lordsc><n id="2" /> makes a person rich,<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">and he adds no sorrow<n id="4" /> to<n id="5" /> it.p>

<p class="poetry">A city is exalted by the blessing provided from<n id="1" /> the upright,p> <p class="poetry">but it is destroyed by the counsel<n id="2" /> of the wicked.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">A generous person<n id="1" /> will be enriched,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">and the one who provides water<n id="3" /> for others<n id="4" /> will himself be satisfied.<n id="5" />p>

<p class="poetry">People will curse<n id="1" /> the one who withholds grain,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">but they will praise<n id="3" /> the one who sells it.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="poetry">A faithful person<n id="1" /> will have an abundance of blessings,p> <p class="poetry">but the one who hastens<n id="2" /> to gain riches will not go unpunished.p>

My father may touch me! Then he&#8217;ll think I&#8217;m mocking him<n id="1" /> and I&#8217;ll bring a curse on myself instead of a blessing.&#8221;
