&#8216;Some of your very own descendants whom you father<n id="1" /> will be taken away and will be made eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.&#8217;&#8221;

At that time King Hezekiah of Judah stripped the metal overlays from the doors of the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s temple and from the posts which he had plated<n id="1" /> and gave them to the king of Assyria.p>

Nebuchadnezzar<n id="1" /> took from there all the riches in the treasuries of the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s temple and of the royal palace. He removed all the gold items which King Solomon of Israel had made for the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s temple, just as the <sc>Lordsc> had warned.
