So they must no longer offer<n id="1" /> their sacrifices to the goat demons,<n id="2" /> acting like prostitutes by going after them.<n id="3" /> This is to be a perpetual statute for them throughout their generations.<n id="4" />p>

So they placed him in custody until they were able<n id="1" /> to make a clear legal decision for themselves based on words from the mouth of the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="2" />p>

The land will be abandoned by them<n id="1" /> in order that it may make up for<n id="2" /> its Sabbaths while it is made desolate<n id="3" /> without them,<n id="4" /> and they will make up for their iniquity because<n id="5" /> they have rejected my regulations and have abhorred<n id="6" /> my statutes.

You must not eat from their meat and you must not touch their carcasses;<n id="1" /> they are unclean to you.p>

and the one who carries their carcass must wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; they are unclean to you.p>

Since they are my servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt, they must not be sold in a slave sale.<n id="1" />

He must do with the rest of the bull just as he did with the bull of the sin offering; this is what he must do with it.<n id="1" /> So the priest will make atonement<n id="2" /> on their behalf and they will be forgiven.<n id="3" />

These you may eat from them:<n id="1" /> the locust of any kind, the bald locust of any kind, the cricket of any kind, the grasshopper of any kind.

All that walk on their paws among all the creatures that walk on all fours<n id="1" /> are unclean to you. Anyone who touches their carcass will be unclean until the evening,

As for any clay vessel they fall into,<n id="1" /> everything in it<n id="2" /> will become unclean and you must break it.

Anything their carcass may fall on will become unclean. An oven or small stove must be smashed to pieces; they are unclean, and they will stay unclean<n id="1" /> to you.

But the garment or the warp or the woof or any article of leather which you wash and infection disappears from it<n id="1" /> is to be washed a second time and it will be clean.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;They must be holy to their God, and they must not profane<n id="1" /> the name of their God, because they are the ones who present the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s gifts,<n id="2" /> the food of their God. Therefore they must be holy.<n id="3" />

but if a priest buys a person with his own money,<n id="1" /> that person<n id="2" /> may eat the holy offerings,<n id="3" /> and those born in the priest&#8217;s<n id="4" /> own house may eat his food.<n id="5" />

&#8220;Speak to the Israelites and tell them, &#8216;These are the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s appointed times which you must proclaim as holy assemblies &#8211; my appointed times:<n id="1" />p>

The houses of villages, however,<n id="1" /> which have no wall surrounding them<n id="2" /> must be considered as the field<n id="3" /> of the land; they will have the right of redemption and must revert in the jubilee.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;As for your male and female slaves<n id="1" /> who may belong to you &#8211; you may buy male and female slaves from the nations all around you.<n id="2" />

Also you may buy slaves<n id="1" /> from the children of the foreigners who reside with you, and from their families that are<n id="2" /> with you, whom they have fathered in your land, they may become your property.
