They are your people, your valued property,<n id="1" /> whom you brought out with great strength and power.<n id="2" />p>

Therefore the <sc>Lordsc> brought us out of Egypt with tremendous strength and power,<n id="1" /> as well as with great awe-inspiring signs and wonders.

<t /><p class="poetry">Of Gad he said:p> <p class="poetry">Blessed be the one who enlarges Gad.p> <p class="poetry">Like a lioness he will dwell;p> <p class="poetry">he will tear at an arm &#8211; indeed, a scalp.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">The everlasting God is a refuge,p> <p class="poetry">and underneath you are his eternal arms;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">he has driven out enemies before you,p> <p class="poetry">and has said, &#8220;Destroy!&#8221;p>

This shall be the priests&#8217; fair allotment<n id="1" /> from the people who offer sacrifices, whether bull or sheep &#8211; they must give to the priest the shoulder, the jowls, and the stomach.

Or has God<n id="1" /> ever before tried to deliver<n id="2" /> a nation from the middle of another nation, accompanied by judgments,<n id="3" /> signs, wonders, war, strength, power,<n id="4" /> and other very terrifying things like the <sc>Lordsc> your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?

Recall that you were slaves in the land of Egypt and that the <sc>Lordsc> your God brought you out of there by strength and power.<n id="1" /> That is why the <sc>Lordsc> your God has commanded you to observe<n id="2" /> the Sabbath day.

the great judgments<n id="1" /> you saw, the signs and wonders, the strength and power<n id="2" /> by which he<n id="3" /> brought you out &#8211; thus the <sc>Lordsc> your God will do to all the people you fear.

Bear in mind today that I am not speaking<n id="1" /> to your children who have not personally experienced the judgments<n id="2" /> of the <sc>Lordsc> your God, which revealed<n id="3" /> his greatness, strength, and power.<n id="4" />
